Tottenham are finally beginning to build momentum under Roberto De Zerbi at a stage of the season where mistakes could no longer be afforded. After drawing with Brighton, Spurs followed up with back-to-back away victories against Wolverhampton and Aston Villa, the latter secured through early strikes from Conor Gallagher and Richarlison in a 2-1 triumph.

Although the North London side still sit lower in the table than expected, their survival hopes are now firmly back in their own control. Tottenham’s home form has been poor throughout the campaign, with only 11 points collected from 17 league matches, but De Zerbi’s high-intensity pressing system has started to take shape. Aggressive recoveries high up the pitch could prove decisive against Leeds.

Leeds United arrive in far steadier form. Daniel Farke’s men have taken 10 points from their last four Premier League matches and are unbeaten in six straight league outings. Their latest performance saw them comfortably defeat Burnley 3-1, with Anton Stach, Noah Okafor, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all getting on the scoresheet.

However, Okafor’s absence is a significant setback for the visitors. The Swiss attacker had contributed to seven goals in his last seven league appearances and had become one of Leeds’ most dangerous attacking outlets. While Leeds have also been difficult to beat away from home, eight draws in their last ten road games underline their tendency to compete well without always finding the finishing touch.
