Karlsruhe: early preparation, but results remain underwhelming

Karlsruhe ended the previous 2. Bundesliga campaign in 10th place, collecting an average of 1.29 points per match. Their biggest weakness was a lack of consistency, which ultimately prevented them from mounting a serious push toward the top spots.

The German side started preseason earlier than Inter and have already played three warm-up matches. The Italian champions will travel to Karlsruhe without Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram, who are still recovering after their World Cup involvement. Nevertheless, Inter’s squad depth, tactical structure, and overall quality should give them a significant advantage against their German opponents.
